One of the newest additions to Coralville’s outdoor spaces is just minutes from West Village. Colony Natural Recreation Area encompasses 60 acres of prairie, wetlands, creek corridors, and native oak and hickory woodlands, offering residents a peaceful place to experience the area’s natural landscape.

The recreation area is currently open for pedestrian hiking on mowed trails, with long-term plans for additional improvements that include paved walking trails, single-track bike trails, and a nature center.
